 7 th English Language Arts  Student driven research on a topic that is relevant and authentic  The problem of bullying peaks during middle school years  Covers many Common Core Standards

 Build awareness about serious effects of bullying and provide solutions with a call to action.  To learn process of researching, citing sources, taking notes, developing a thesis, using supportive evidence in a problem/solution format.

 Students self-selected focus topics that surfaced when researching bullying  Media specialists taught Noodletools, a website to assist in citing sources in MLA format (text, images, and music)  Ignite facilitators guided in sharing ideas, how to blog, read posts and enrich learning 

 Encourage students to create own images this year  Share revised collaboration rubrics on wiki…
