Hydrosphere  The hydrosphere includes all of the water on or near Earth’s surface. Lakes Rivers Oceans Icecaps Clouds wetlands

The Water Cycle  Water cycle – the continuous movement of water into the air, onto land, and then back to water sources

The Water Cycle  Evaporation – the process by which liquid water is heated by the sun and then rises into the atmosphere as water vapor  Condensation – when water vapor forms water droplets on dust particles. The water droplets form in clouds  Precipitation – when large water droplets fall from the clouds. May be rain, sleet, snow, or hail

The Oceans  The largest part of the hydrosphere  Covers over 70% of Earth’s surface  Play a large role in regulating the planet’s environment

Temperature Zones
