ACTRAV’s LABOUR EDUCATION Education and training offered by ACTRAV to full/part time trade union officers and members ACTRAV’s training activities are aimed at: Increasing the capacity of trade unions to plan and deliver educational programmes in line with their educational policies; Supporting the development and strengthening of specialized technical departments within trade unions; Strengthening the process of organising and capacity-building of trade unions; Supporting the ILO agenda on Decent Work and workers’ rights Promoting gender mainstreaming in all the activities of trade unions +;
Training methodology Focus from trainer-centred to participant-centred Extensive use of active learning methods: full participation, validation of trade union experiences brought by course participants, trainers/facilitators, adaptation of the course content and pace via reports back and course assessments, Teaching methods based on a comparative approach/case studies/role playing and the extensive use of small group work Extensive use of IT and the Internet throughout course delivery Active role of course participant / design of work plans +
