Why he is famous Andrey Yakovlevitch Eshpay is an outstanding modern composer and pianist, the participant of the World War II ( )

Birth dates and birthplace Andrey Eshpay was born in Kozmodemiansk, Mari El on May 15, 1925

Education In 1928 Andrey began studying music at Gnesinsk Music School in Moscow in the piano class of V.V. Listaeva. In 1944 he finished the Chkalov specialized school and the Military Institute of Foreign Languages. In 1946 Andrey Eshpay entered the Music Specialized School at the conservatorium and in two years he became a student of the Moscow State Conservatorium. He studied piano and composition. He was taught by the outstanding musicians N.Y. Miaskovski, N.P. Rakov, E.K. Golubev, V.V. Sofronitski and A.I. Hachaturian.

Career Eshpay worked at Russian Composers Union. During the years Andrey Eshpay taught composition at Moscow Conservatorium ( ). As well he was an active social and political statesman.

Achievements Eshpay’s works are played in the USA, England, Germany, France, Italy, Belgium, Japan, India, Czech, Slovenia and Hungary. Eshpay is the author of 9 symphonies, 18 concerts for different solo instruments, 2 ballets, cantatas, lots of cameral- instrumental and variety works, 60 film music, great deal of songs and folk melody remakes.

Personality Andrey Eshpay is very energetic, gusty (порывистый), witty (остроумный), handsome, incredibly hardworking and purposeful.
