What’s the word for…? Look at the picture in your hand What do you do when you don’t know how to say that word? Walk around the classroom and talk to 6 different people. Make them guess what you are trying to say. After you finish with each person, exchange your pictures.

Work with a partner Do you watch talent shows on TV? Which one is your favorite? What do you think about the winners? Why do women enter beauty contests? What kind of contests have you entered? Why?

Listen to Ivy Chang Ivy is a pretty lady She read about a blog by J. R. Wright on beauty contests for women. She isn’t very happy about what she read from it. Listen to what she has to say.
