Warm-Up: 10/6/08 Why do some people give emotional meaning to objects like a car, a picture or a teddy-bear? What objects or events, big or small, has brought the most happiness or has meant the most to you? Why?

What did the Fall of the Bastille Do for the people of France? Only 7 prisoners were freed??? Very little guns were take??? If the fall of the Bastille did little in terms of giving the people supplies…what did it do? Symbolism!!!! The fall of the Bastille represented the end of the Kings power over the 3 rd Estate.

Maximilien Robespierre Comes to Power in (Committee of Public Safety) Builds a “Republic of Virtue” From Ruled during the “Reign of Terror,” over 40,000+ were killed. (70-80% 3 rd )

The Revolution Consumes it’s Own
