City development agency-RAIS  The City Development Agency East Sarajevo (RAIS) is a development agency with non-profit character with the aim of promotion, presentation, coordination, planning and performance of development activities at the territory of the city of East Sarajevo.  The founder of the Agency is the city of East Sarajevo and the six municipalities it consists of (Sokolac, Pale, East Stari Grad, East Novo Sarajevo, East Ilidža and Trnovo).

Basic characteristics of the city of East Sarajevo

 East Sarajevo is placed in the central part of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the Republic of Srpska.  Total area of the city is km 2. Some important road traffic routes pass over its territory and near the town is the central railway station Sarajevo. Sarajevo International Airport is very close to the city (1 km).

City development agency-RAIS  THE MISSION OF RAIS  The mission of RAIS is to create a positive business environment and to improve general socio-economic situation at the territory of the city, through the cooperation with local public, private and nongovernmental sector.  THE ROLE OF RAIS  RAIS is an instrument for the creation of a development network at the territory of the city of East Sarajevo. It deals with the presentation and promotion of the economic potentials of the city, preparation and making of development projects, and application for funds necessary for their implementation.

Especially emphasize PROJECT  Project for increasing enterprise competitiveness which was implemented and who has much in common with this project.  The basic objective of the project is increasing enterprise competitiveness through networking of enterprises, co-financing of the part of the costs of introducing a system of quality, standardization, certification (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, HACCP, CE mark), improving existing and the developing new technological processes of products and services, new product design and packaging, improving marketing and export strategies, manufacturing and application of specialized softwares, etc
