Eleanor Roosevelt as First Lady She helped her husband throughout his presidency because he had Polio and he could not walk. She helped during WWI with the Red Cross During the Great Depression she worked at a soup kitchen. She helped the woman and the poor to receive their voting rights.
After FDR’s Death After her husbands death she worked at the United Nations in the Human Rights She wrote books like My Day and This I Remember. She also helped write the Declaration of Human Rights which is a document that states everyone gets basic rights and freedoms.
