Eleanor Roosevelt early years Anna Eleanor Roosevelt’s nick name was Eleanor or Ellie. Eleanor Roosevelt’s mom died when she was 10 years old and two months later her dad passed away. Eleanor Roosevelt’s dad died from Alcoholism. She was born on October 11, 1884 Eleanor Roosevelt at ten years old

Eleanor Roosevelt and Franklin Delano Roosevelt Eleanor Roosevelt was FDR’s 5 th cousin once removed. They got married on March 17, Franklin Delano Roosevelt died of Cerebral hemorrhage. Eleanor helped Franklin with press conferences and voting rights for women. They had 6 children.

Eleanor Roosevelt as First Lady She helped her husband throughout his presidency because he had Polio and he could not walk. She helped during WWI with the Red Cross During the Great Depression she worked at a soup kitchen. She helped the woman and the poor to receive their voting rights.

After FDR’s Death After her husbands death she worked at the United Nations in the Human Rights She wrote books like My Day and This I Remember. She also helped write the Declaration of Human Rights which is a document that states everyone gets basic rights and freedoms.
