Purpose Wiesel’s main purpose was to write his memoirs of the Holocaust. “Night offers an eyewitness account of the utmost importance, but it is essentially one young man’s story.”

Used to show how the Jews were isolated and abandoned without hope. Gives reader an idea of how horrific the holocaust was. Describes the emotional terror of Jews. Why was the word Night used?
