Comenius Project Lahr second year meeting

The sector of the tourism especially of beach and snow, of notable economic importance in Spain, it sees his future seriously threatened due to the effects of the climate change, especially to the increase of temperatures and to the decrease of the rainfalls in the shape of snow. Tourism sector in Spain

Hotel Booking diminishing hoteleras The hotel managers have seen their benefits diminished since there is a lack of snow in the theoretically good seasons. A solution to the lack of snow is the manufacture of artificial snow, which every time is of worse quality since the temperatures increase. The low quality of the snow is one of the main reasons that less affect to every time hotel reservations.

Environmental worry for the reduction of the flow of the lakes and flows of high mountains. There is a demand that the government guarantees that the manufacture of artificial snow does not imply an excessive harm to the environment. Ecologist worries

Lack of snow The lack of snow provokes a decrease in the hotel reservations and it affects to economy. The main reason for the lack of snow, which is a problem for the tourism sector, is the raise of temperatures, as we have seen in the first slide showing the areas of maximum temperatures and their degrees.

Climate change impacts The mass of artificial snow that is made this year is higher to that of the same period of last year. The ski resorts, all in global are doing a very important effort to guarantee a quality “INNOVATION” which allows to be able to practise the ski, at least, in a number of enough tracks to be able to receive the number of usual visitors in those dates.
