 A conclusion you draw about a whole group of people or things

 Where any loose ends of the story are tied up. Occurs after the falling action of the story.  Denouement

 Using what you already know and have discovered to make a logical statement about what may happen in the story

 1st person - narrator is a character in the story  3rd person - narrator is outside of the story; not a character

 A scene that happens before the beginning of the story  Flashbacks interrupt chronological flow  Help readers understand the story

 a hint(s) about an event that will occur later in the story

 The order in which things happen or characters perform actions  Also called chronological order

 A statement that can be proven true or false by reading, observing, asking an expert, or checking it in some way

 A statement of opinions tells someone’s belief, judgment, or way of thinking about something.  It cannot be proven true or false
