Session 8: Camera and Multimedia  Taking Pictures with Camera  Recording Videos with Camcorder  Adjusting the Camera Settings  Using Albums  Sharing Pictures and Videos  Playing Music  Creating Footprints

Taking Pictures with Camera Step One  Press HOME, then tap the All programs button, and then tap Camera. Step Two  Frame your subject on the screen. Tap the screen to open the Zoom control and then slide it up and down to zoom in or out. Step Three  Press the TRACKBALL button.

Recording Videos with Camcorder Step One  Press HOME, then tap the All programs button, and then tap Camcorder. Step Two  Frame your subject on the screen. Step Three  Press the TRACKBALL button to start capturing video. Press it again to stop capturing video.

Adjusting the Camera Settings Step One  While on the Camera or Camcorder screen, press MENU. Step Two  Tap the option in the menu panel that you want to change. Step Three  Specify your desired settings.

Using Albums  Albums lets you view photos and play back videos. You can also view your photos or your friends’ photos on Facebook or Flickr.  To use Albums, press HOME, then tap the All programs button, and then tap Albums. Tap an album to view your pictures and/or videos inside the album.

Sharing Your Pictures and Videos Step One  On the Album screen, open an album and select the picture you want to share.

Playing Music  Use the Music application to play music files that are stored on the phone’s storage card.  To open the application, press HOME, tap the All programs button, and then tap Music. Go to the Library Toggle between showing the Now playing list and Playback screen. Swipe left or right to go to the next or previous song in the Now playing list.

Creating Footprints  A footprint consists of a photo you take of a location, stored together with a precise GPS position and location information.  To open HTC Footprints™, press HOME, then tap the All programs button, and then tap Footprints.  To create a footprint, tap New footprint and capture your location. Tap Done.

Synchronizing Exchange Server Items Step One  Press HOME > MENU and then tap Settings > Data synchronization.

Installing HTC Sync on Your Computer Step One  Connect the phone (with a microSD installed) to the computer and then set the phone as a USB drive. Step Two  Copy HTCSync.exe from the storage card to the computer’s desktop. Double-click it and then follow the installation instructions on the screen.

Setting Up HTC Sync Step One  On your computer, open HTC Sync and then connect the phone to the computer. Click Next. Step Two  Follow the setup instructions on the screen like the PC application to sychronize with, categories and information, and also your synchronization schedule.

Synchronizing Items Using HTC Sync Step One  On your computer, open HTC Sync and then connect the phone to the computer. Step Two  Synchronization will start automatically.  On the HTC Sync window, click Synchronize Now.  Synchronization will start depending on the date and time you set.

Installing Applications Using HTC Sync Step One  On your computer, open HTC Sync and then connect the phone to the computer. Step Two  Click Application Installer and then click Next on the Application Installer screen. Step Three  Click Browse to select the file to install. After selecting the file, click Next. Step Four  Click Finish. Check the phone if there are additional instructions to complete the installation.
