Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle By Marichel Robinson Science teacher

When you reuse something, you use it again. Think before you throw away a box or a toy. Can you use the box in a different way? Could someone play with the toy?

Another way to use something is to recycle. Plastic can be recycled. It can be melted and made into new things. Plastic bottles might become a new chair!

The best thing you can do for the environment is to remember the 3 R’s Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle

You can use old bottles to make new things. This is to recycle.

Old cans are recycled into shining new ones ready to use again.

Where does a bottle belong?

Boxes go to the __________ bin. Figure 22-3

Soda cans go to the __________ bin.

Tuna cans go to the _______ bin.

What pictures should not go in the aluminum bin?

What pictures should not go in the paper bin?

What pictures should not go in the glass bin?
