What was the message? To Pharaoh and the Egyptians? To the Israelites? These false Gods were supposed to protect Egypt. This is a time of magic and mysticism, not science. The Lord was more powerful than these. To the Israelites? What if Moses and Pharaoh had just made a deal? The Israelites needed to be convinced that this was the true God

Why was Pharaoh so stubborn? “There is no provision in the law of faith that miracles will create faith. Signs follow; they do not precede” Elder Bruce R McConkie The Israelites had at least a sliver of faith to build on, the Pharaoh did not
