SUPER: What is it and what does it do? SUPER is a free multimedia player, encoder and converter all in one. SUPER can encode or convert almost any media file type. SUPER can also Mux and DeMux media files.
Super: How is it used? SUPER’s user interface design makes it simple to use. The layout is easy to read and everything is segregated and labelled appropriately.
Adding one or more files to SUPER Drag the media file or files, you wish to work with onto the drag and drop window at the bottom. The window will now display the file path, file name and original file size.
Choosing Outputs Choose the Output Format, Output Video Codec and Output Audio Codec that corresponds to the type of media file you want to work with.
Analysing Media Files Before setting video and audio options the media file needs to be analysed. Double clicking the filename in the drag and drop window will bring up the File Analysis window.
Frame/Sec will be set to the same value as found in the Video section of the file analysis. Setting Video Options Video Scale Size should be set to “No Change”. The Aspect will auto set, so leave it as is. Bitrate is set just higher than the value found in the Video section of the file analysis.
These are the options to set for the Mp3 audio codec: Sampling Frequency should be set to Channels is always set to 2 Bitrate is set to 160 kbps. Setting Audio Options
Once the options have been set, click the Encode button and SUPER will start the encoding process. Once complete, the converted/encoded file(s) will be visible in the same location as the original file. Encoding
All the settings and options used can be saved and loaded for future use. Savings Settings for Future Use Click on the “M” button in to the top right corner of the title bar to bring up menu. Click “Export a SUPER settings profile” to save. Click “Import a SUPER settings profile” to load.
