Map, Size, and Location of Denali. Map of Denali The Size and Location of Denali Denali National Park is located in Alaska with an astounding size of 6 million acres. This park has many mountains including the tallest mountain in North America, Mount McKinley.

. Facts about Denali In Denali National Park, glaciers cover about 15% of the park. Scientists have found 39 species of mammals, 169 species of birds, 14 species of fish, and 1 specie of amphibian. Charles Sheldon created Denali National Park in Visiting Denali Many people visit Denali National Park. In 2012, 388,433 people visited this park. The best time to visit Denali is in Summer during the months of June, July, and August. In 2005, a footprint of a dinosaur was found. This footprint belonged to a foot of a Cretaceous Theropod.
