Slide 1. This lesson we will learn how to address our letters correctly. First we need to find out how we should address the person we are writing to. How do you usually address a grown-up person in Russia? How do they do it in English-speaking countries? Slide 2. Say your name in the English-manner. Differentiate between Mr, Mrs, Miss and Ms. Have you ever written a letter? Whom did you write it? When we write a letter what do we usually put down on the envelope? (Country, region, city, street, house and flat number, your full name and a zip code). Slide 3. Let’s look at the examples of Russian and English letter. What’s the difference? Slide 4 – letter sample. Where do you live? Ask each other in pairs. Write your address in your copybook. You need to write a letter to a friend. Put down their address in your copybook (1 card for a pair). Write a couple of addresses on the board – Slide 5. (see the cards on the next page) Slide 6. Test with books and copybooks closed.
