 Western Coventry would have less sprawl if it had a TEEN CENTER that was in walking distance from the schools and homes that are located there. We think this is a reasonable request. Parents will let their kids or teens go to the Teen Center, because they will not have to drive them and waste gas.

This is where the current Coventry Teen Center is located!

Some pool area’s in other Teen Centers!

Goals ! Goals !  Our first goal is to improve the Coventry Teen Center! Many kids at Knotty Oak Middle school agree that this is something to take action on. Soon!  Another goal that we have is to build a new teen center off of Lodge Bridge Road in Western Coventry.

We could build a new teen center!  We would want to build or have a new teen center on Log Bridge Road in Western Coventry!  Teens don’t have anywhere to go in Western Coventry right now, so we would like them to be excited about a new teen center!

A new teen center In Western Coventry?  Teens would have a safe and comfortable place to go  Less teens would be into drugs and other illegal activities because ( they would be at the teen center)  Get involved in fun activities with other teens and their peers  A place to go when parents are not home!

A Quote from a Coventry Teen  “I think that the teen center needs to be improved and more exciting. Also the fence in the back of the teen center is so short that whenever the balls go over the fence they fall into the river behind it”

 In order to solve this problem, we should make the fence higher, so that the balls will not go over the fence into the river behind it!

A Quote from Nathan Stitchell! A Quote from Nathan Stitchell!  “ I think we should have a basketball hoop and a sports area for almost every sport to get our energy up”!  Our response is…

The Teen Center should have a sports area or a multipurpose room. There is most likely not enough room for this so we would need to make the Teen Center better and bigger! The Teen Center should have a sports area or a multipurpose room. There is most likely not enough room for this so we would need to make the Teen Center better and bigger!

Why do we want to improve the Coventry Teen Center? Why do we want to improve the Coventry Teen Center?  To protect kids from trouble  To give kids a safe place to go  If parents have to go somewhere for a long period of time then their teen(s) can go to the Teen Center and not get bored

Ways we can make it happen Ways we can make it happen  Ask for donations  Show this PowerPoint and hope you like it  Get ideas from teens  Get ideas from you, adults, the owner of the Teen Center, etc…

Thank you! Thank you!  Thank you for watching our PowerPoint and we hope that you are persuaded.  WE really want to change the Teen Center and many teens also agree!   Allie, Bridget, Chad, Chace, and Natasha
