Using Perfect Verb Tenses

What Are Verb Tenses? Verb tenses tell when the action (the verb) was completed in a sentence. There are three main verb tenses: presentpastfuture present, past, and future.

So, What Are PERFECT Verb Tenses? In English, the word perfect means “made complete” or “completely done.” already completedPerfect verb tenses show action already completed. There are three perfect verb tenses: present perfectpast perfect present perfect, past perfect, future perfect and future perfect.

How Are Perfect Verb Tenses Formed? haveAll perfect tense verbs use some form of the helping verb have: have Present tense of have = have had Past tense of have = had will have Future tense of have = will have past tense MAINAll perfect tense verbs use the past tense of the MAIN verb (the one the perfect verb helps).
