Presentation transcript:

While I take attendance… On the front cover (or inside cover if it has a picture) of your notebook, write: – Your FIRST AND LAST NAME – Biology (or Science) – Your CLASS PERIOD I have black markers if you need them – SHARE with each other and RETURN them to me when you’re done!!

I.A.N – InterActive Notebook All notes, homework, labs and activities will be placed in your I.A.N The I.A.N. is a powerful tool to help you be successful. Without it, you will most definitely fail this class. If at any time during the six weeks you lose your I.A.N., you will have to come before or after school to recopy the whole thing and repeat the missing work. IAN’s will be collected twice during the six weeks grading period for teacher review. I will tell you before this happens!

I.A.N – InterActive Notebook Front (or inside) cover – Needs to include Your Name, Biology, and Class Period (should already be completed) Write Table of Contents at the top of the first three pages (front, back, front) Number the lines on your table of contents pages – do not skip lines between numbers! You should be able to get AT LEAST 75 lines numbered.

Now, for something completely different… CORNELL NOTES !!

Pauk advocated its use in his best-selling book How to Study in College. The Cornell method provides a systematic format for condensing and organizing notes. What the heck are Cornell Notes, anyway?
