Why an Internship?  Gain Experience   One of two Capstone Courses for Software Engineering and Information Assurance Tracks. (controlled elective in BA and Languages & Systems)  Fulfill Writing Intensive requirement  12 Credits (6 to COSC)  $$ PAID

Internship Course Prerequisites Pre-requisites IP for in-progress Reg for registered Wvd for waived N/A for COSC 220 L&S track only COSC105 ____110 ____210 ____220 ____ 300 ____310 ____319 ____341 ____ 380 ____ For Summer I, 319, 300 or 341, and 380 may be marked Wvd, otherwise at most one may be marked Wvd.

GPA Requirements Unconditionally:3.0Major 2.75Overall Conditionally:2.5Major 2.5Overall

Internship Application/Approval Process  Must meet Prerequisites/GPA requirements  Must submit application by deadline  INCLUDING resume and picture  Must be approved by Faculty  Must obtain Employment Offer

Requirements/Earning a Grade  Must keep a daily log (w/project log)  Must visit the campus twice *  Must have three * on-site visits by coordinator  Must prepare a report  Must give an oral presentation *  Must be enrolled as full time student in semester following internship * For summer I: Only 1 campus visit and one on-site visit is required. Other visits and oral presentation is deferred to Summer II.
