 Virtual Reality is the use of computer technology to create the effect of an interactive three-dimensional world in which the objects have a sense of spatial presence.  Spatial Presence- Objects in the environment effectively have a location in three-dimensional space relative to and independent of your position What is Virtual Reality?

 Sensorama, invented by cinematographer Moroton Heilig, included a stereoscopic display, fans, odor emitters, stereo speakers and a moving chair.  1961 – The first Head Mounted Display (HMD) was invented, called Headsight  1977 – Aspen Movie Map, developed by MIT Researchers, simulated Aspen, Colorado in either summer, winter or polygon mode.  1985 – VPL Research is founded by Jaron Lanier  1995 – Nintendo enters VR world with Virtual Boy   Now – Wii Remote, PlayStation Move, Microsoft’s Kinec, Oculus Rift The History of VR
