Lesson L.O. To compare unit fractions. Which is bigger?

Lesson L.O. To reduce a fraction to its simplest form. Fraction and decimal number line tool 4.6.5

Lesson L.O. To reduce a fraction to its simplest form.. I can reduce a fraction to its smallest form. I can recognise the greatest common multiple. I can recognise a common multiple that I can divide both the numerator and denominator with.

Simplifying fractions is the opposites instead of multiplying the numerator and the denominator by the same number you divide it until you cant divide it anymore. Lesson L.O. To reduce a fraction to its simplest form. ÷3 Remember you can only divide by a common factor!!! E.g. Simplify the fraction : == ÷2 a) b) c) d) e) f) g) h) Practice Questions: Simplify the following fractions

Lesson L.O To recognise tenths.. I can covert fractions into decimals and vice versa. I can identify the missing fraction and decimal. I can write tenths in decimal form.

Lesson L.O To recognise tenths. Counting stick

Lesson L.O To recognise tenths. This is a counting stick with ten equal pieces. 01 1/10= 0.1 6/10= 0.6 7/10= 0.7 8/10= 0.8 9/10= 0.9 3/10= 0.3 4/10= 0.4 5/10= 0.5 2/10= /10 = 1.0

Lesson L.O. To revise writing in decimal form. Copy a grid like this onto your whiteboard Insert link!

Lesson L.O. To divide a 2 digit number by 10. I can understand and recognise tenths and know that they represent a tenth part of a whole. I can understand place value in decimals. I can recognise that when dividing a 2 digit number by 10 we may get a decimal.

Lesson L.O. To divide a 2 digit number by 10. Fraction and decimal number line tool 4.7.2Fraction and decimal number line tool Lets try place some decimals on a number line.

Lesson L.O. To divide a 2 digit number by 10. Remember when dividing by 10 the numbers move 1 place to the right Try these: 1)37 divided by 10 2)88 divided by 10 3)96 divided by 10.

TB 1 PG 58 Q Extension- Worksheet. Complete the questions. Lesson L.O. To divide a 2 digit number by 10. TB 1 PG 57 Q

Lesson L.O. To divide a 2 digit number by 10. Are you a winner? Do you think you have achieved the learning objective? Write a 2 digit number divide it by 10 and record your answer- keep it hidden shhh!!!

Lesson L.O. To recall multiplication and division facts. Times Tables Timer

To consolidate what we have learned in decimals. I can add decimals together. I can make 1 by counting the tenths I have coloured. I can follow rules of a game..

To consolidate what we have learned in decimals Everyone with have ten boxes to start, and in these boxes are 10 boxes.

To consolidate what we have learned in decimals Every pair with all have 10 cards with 10 fraction on them like this. You have to convert them to decimals. Record this in your copy book. Step 1- Place all the cards face down, turn one over convert it to a decimal and record in copy book e.g I pick up 6/10 I would write ___= You also need to colour that amount on your first tens box.

To consolidate what we have learned in decimals Step 2- The next person turns over one card and does the same- coverts to a decimal and starts their number sentence in their book and colours their box. Step 3 back to the first person- turn over another card, convert it and then add them together, how many does it equal? For example = 0.9.

To consolidate what we have learned in decimals Your aim is to get the answer 1 before everyone else. If you do not get one first time, play again. If you do keep a score of who gets 1. Keep playing till you have no more boxes to colour. Enjoy

To consolidate what we have learned in decimals Are you a winner? Do you think you have achieved the learning objective? Can you convert fractions to decimals and add them? Lets see!!
