Ways you can help… Reading Eggspress- excellent and fun way of practising comprehension skills Lots of reading comprehension questions… show me the evidence! How do you know… reading between the lines Encourage expression when reading

Writing Tasks Long and a short writing task Short task- eg a description of a setting Long task- eg a story Spelling test Completely normal for children… informal and already part of our every day learning
