Presently in Pakistan, dentistry courses are offered by 28 recognized dental colleges producing over 1400 graduates every year Two decades ago, there were only five public sector institutions producing approximately 200 graduates. At the state level, staff work with the local MCAH Program to: Ensure that each LHJ has the resources and leadership to carry out the core public health functions Assist the LHJs in providing leadership in planning, developing, and supporting comprehensive systems of preventive and primary care Ensure that local public health nursing staff is responsible for promotion of maternal, child and adolescent health LHJs monitor local MCAH needs and modifies local plans and program implementation LHJs annually complete an evaluation of their plan implemented each the fiscal year LHJs are responsible for reporting to the State MCAH Program local trends for the MCAH population and any population changes which impact the implementation of the MCAH programs and plans LHJs evaluate and modify their local programs: to ensure best practices are implemented Include methods of measuring outcomes and evaluating progress toward achieving both State and local MCAH objectives in selected local priorities Identify barriers/challenges to implementation activities and communicate this to CDPH MCAH Program Conduct a Needs Assessment every five years 4/25/2017
