Proper Nutrition Spartan “Roids” Protein (Read the labels) A Nutritional Supplement is just that…A SUPPLEMENT to an established balanced nutrition plan. IT IS NOT A REPLACEMENT If you do not eat nutrients from foods supplements will not be effective. Supplements are best utilized when training and nutrition are so intense that food consumption cannot benefit.

Academics: Education is more important than football. Scholars must be student’s student athletes above anything else. All athletes must maintain at least a 2.0 GPA to play a sport at JHHS. Academic ineligibility at any time during the season disqualifies you from participation and varsity lettering. Grades check will be due every Monday; no exceptions. If an athlete is absent on Monday, the grade check is due by Tuesday at the start of practice.

3.0 Incentives B Average (3.0) at the end of the Spring Semester gets your name on the back of your jersey (10 th -12 th Grade) B Average at the end of the Fall Quarter gets your name on the back of your jersey and a scholar certificate. Your name will also be removed if you fall under a 3.0 during the 1 st quarter (New).

Athlete Behavior: Jurupa Hills football players are expected to conduct themselves in a way that positively represent the school, team, their parents, and themselves. Failure to comply will lead to consequences or escalate to immediate removal if athlete is too disruptive to the team. Examples include but are not limited to: Disrespect to adults/coaches Sexual Harassment, Hazing, Use, possession, and distribution of illegal drugs, weapons, and narcotics, Physical altercation; fighting, slapping, touching someone without their approval, etc. Not following JHHS/Fontana Unified School District Rules

Team contract (Points) Returners choose numbers 1st. Players are expected to attend 85% of workouts during the offseason. If not will receive consequences according to the contract which includes being removed from the program.

Attendance: Attendance at tournaments, 7 on 7/lineman competitions & practice is Mandatory. You are required to attend 85% of spring & summer workouts/practices. Missing more than 15% of the workouts will result in probation, suspension or being removed from the team. The Head Coach will use his discretion to make the final decision on whether an athlete participates or not. Participation in tournaments and linemen competition will be based not only on ability but attendance at both tournaments and practice.

Late to Practice: If an athlete late to practice, they will have make up that time at the end of practice. Excused Absences: The only absences that will be accepted will be excused absences. Absences that will be counted as excused are: Early Checkouts. Verified School {must notify the Head Coach at least 2 days before the event}. Life situations: Sudden illness, death in the family, etc. Verified Study Hall

Transportation to and from Games:. Athletes transported from Jurupa Hills via district bus must also return to Jurupa Hills High School via district bus. If you have special circumstances in which you must leave early, it must be cleared through the coaching staff and the Principal’s Office via official letter. Athletes will not be released to anyone other than a legal guardian with visual confirmation. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN SUSPENSION AND OR REMOVAL FROM THE TEAM.
