Kevin Moore was appointed by Governor Scott Walker to serve as Wisconsin’s Medicaid Director and Administrator of the Division of Health Care Access and Accountability in the Department of Health Services (DHS) in February The Division administers Wisconsin’s Medicaid program and provides health care assistance to more than one million medically needy and low- income individuals and families. Moore has served on several boards and committees such as the Wisconsin Information Technology Executive Steering Committee (ITESC), First Lady Walker’s Fostering Futures Initiative, the Waste, Fraud and Abuse Elimination Taskforce, the State Council on Alcohol and Drug Abuse (SCAODA), and the Wisconsin Child Abuse and Neglect Board. Meet Our Speakers. Mike Rohrkaste (R-Neenah) Kevin Moore Medicaid Director Scott was born on September 16, 1975 in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin. He graduated in 1999 from Mid State Technical College. After graduating in Scott started a career in law enforcement working for the Juneau County Sheriff’s Department. After leaving Juneau County he became the Discharge Planner at the Wood County Jail. Scott went on to start his own employment and training company called NEW Opportunities where he continues to make a mark on helping more individuals become self-sufficient citizens. Today, Scott serves as Chairman of the Children and Families Committee and the Vice Chair of the Environmental & Forestry Committee. Scott also serves as a member of the Corrections and the Colleges & University Committees. Representative Rohrkaste was born and raised in Dayton, Ohio. He attended Michigan State University as an undergraduate student and graduated in 1980 with a bachelor’s degree in social science. He also attended Michigan State University for his graduate degree. In 1982 he graduated with a master’s degree in labor and industrial relations. Mike worked several places early in his human resources career, but in 1994 he began a new job at Menasha Corporation. Mike spent the next decade working through various human resources roles at Menasha Corporation before accepting a job with Oshkosh Corporation. He recently retired as the Chief Human Resources officer of Oshkosh Corporation. Governor Scott Walker appointed Dan Schwartzer as Deputy Commissioner of Insurance for the State of Wisconsin on January 4, 2011.Deputy Commissioner Schwartzer is a licensed insurance intermediary holding property, casualty, life, accident and health insurance licenses. He has over 25 years of experience in insurance, health care financing and business issues and over 12 years of experience in government relations and association management. Deputy Commissioner Schwartzer earned his Bachelors of Science Degree in Business Administration from Cardinal Stritch University. Dan Schwartzer OCI Scott Krug (R-Nekoosa) Daniel Riemer (R-Milwaukee) Representative Riemer was born on December 10, 1986 in Milwaukee. He graduated from Rufus King High School in 2005 and Received his B.A. from the University of Chicago in After graduating from the University of Chicago he attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison for law school. He is a full-time legislator elected to the Assembly in Representative Riemer currently serves on the Committees on Health, International Trade and Commerce, Transportation, Committee on Ways and Means, Legislative Council Study Committee on the Review of Criminal Penalties and the Subcommittee on Obsolete Misdemeanors.
