Presentation transcript:

Thermal insulation of outside walls 1. Mostly widespread design for thermal insulation

b) In our region, there also existed traditional design for thermal insulation, that was mostly used in two-three floor houses

c) Our proposal for the existing building for making outside wall thermal insulation can be represented following way

2. Evaluation of represented options a) Option : Outside wall facing elements + Hydro isolation + outside insulation by glass- wool + half block built wall + gypsum cardboard with Clinch - Effective and expensive – b) Option : Outside wall facing elements + Hydro isolation + whole block built wall + gypsum cardboard with Clinch - Ineffective and Cheapest – c) Option : Outside wall facing elements + Hydro isolation + half block built wall + Basalt fiber for inside thermal insulation + gypsum cardboard with Clinch - Effective and Cheapest –

Difference between different (b) and (c) options by price Note: 1. difference between prices of b) and c) gives an opportunity to use two layers of mat and reach not worse thermal insulation effect, then in option and in this case option (b) is the best decision considering both quality and price. 2. Design we propose is exceptionally effective for outbuildings, which are very widespread in Georgia. As outbuilding in winter time is permanently affected by condensate, from the room side during night and day time. that is caused of big differences of temperatures between inside and outside building. Half block cost (unit) GEL 1m² Half block cost 1m² Half block building sum ( b) option 1,013 GEL/m² 6,5 GEL/m² 19,5 GEL ( c) optionmat 7,5 GEL/m² –– 8,5 GEL
