Examination Must Be Personal We’re responsible for our own sins –Ezekiel 18:20 Each will give an account to God –2 Corinthians 5:10; Romans 14:12 “Am I in the faith?” –Matthew 25:31-32

Examination Must Be By the Right Standard Can’t examine self by doctrines of men –Isaiah 55:8-9; Jeremiah 10:23 Foolish to trust in own feelings –Proverbs 14:12 Comparing ourselves with others is not wise –2 Corinthians 10:12 Must examine ourselves by God’s Word –John 12:48
