Lonoke High School Library We want to make a difference!

What we do Provide a quiet place to read and study. Provide print materials for research. Provide computers for Internet and on- line database research. Provide magazines and books for pleasure. Provide videos and print sources for teachers.

What we have…

Balloons

Last year, with profits from balloon sales and sales from a football video, we were able to purchase a 25-inch television and two VCRs.

A typical lunch period

What we found We looked at the copyright dates of EVERY book in the collection. Each book with a copyright date prior to 1970 received a “dot” on the spine. In the 500 and 600 sections, each book with a copyright date prior to 1970 was removed from the shelf (weeded).

What we need Money to buy new books NOT donated old books New computers We have the oldest on the campus The best for our students and teachers!

Computers Old New Windows 95 Pentium I, 75 Mhz 16 MB RAM 500 MB Hard drive 2 MB VGA display adapter Windows 2000 Pentium III, 933 Mhz 256 MB RAM 40 GB Hard drive 32 MB SVGA display adapter

What we don’t want
