Wireless TL70 Sure Cross ® Wireless TL70 Tower Lights combine the best of Banner’s popular Tower Light family with the reliable, field-proven, Sure Cross ® wireless architecture. 70 mm Wireless Modular Tower Light

Wireless TL70 Key Features ■ Combination of two existing Banner products and ability to leverage the benefits of each ■ Existing TL70 model with a Sure Cross ® Wireless Node built into the base ■ Works with standard Banner Wireless Gateways ■ Enables two-way communication ■ Works with up to six segments, colors and/or audible ■ Two Node Radios to choose from (900 MHz & 2.4 GHz) ■ Available in preassembled or modular units –Individual base part available to retrofit existing lights

Features: Light Segments ■ Bright and uniform 70 mm LED light segments ■ Available in five colors ■ Configurable light functions ■ Segments appear gray when OFF to eliminate false indication from ambient light

Features: Audible Segment ■ Omni-directional audible ■ 92 dB typical intensity at 1 m ■ Adjustable volume ■ Four configurable tones –Pulsed –Chirp –Siren –Continuous

Features: Housing & Connectors ■ Rugged, water-resistant IP65 housing ■ UV stabilized materials ■ Two housing colors available ■ 30 mm base with variety of connections

Features: Wireless Base ■ Wireless Node built directly into the base ■ 900 MHz or 2.4 GHz Radio models ■ Two-way communication –Segments can be controlled from the input wires or the Gateway ■ Binding using push button/LEDs in the base ■ Works with up to six segments ■ Input wires can be configured as auxiliary inputs from other devices ■ Can be used as a drop in replacement for standard base ■ Maximum network size of 48 devices

Sure Cross ® Wireless Network ■ Compatible with corresponding frequency gateway ■ Range –900 MHz network: ~ 2.0 miles (3.2 km) –2.4 GHz network: ~ 0.6 miles (1.0 km) –Specific application range may vary, perform a site survey to verify ■ Banner User Configuration Tool (UCT) software ■ Contact Banner for assistance setting up a new wireless network

Modes of Operation Node-Controlled ■ Similar to wired TL70 model ■ Segments are controlled by PLC, manual switch, or local inputs ■ Gateway monitors status Gateway-Controlled ■ Input signals controlled by the Gateway ■ TL70 node only requires 10 to 30 V dc

Applications ■ Wire replacement ■ General and machine status –Status mirroring (i.e. in supervisor area) –Remote indication (i.e. at a workstation where machine isn’t visible) ■ Mobile call for parts ■ Mobile work stations ■ Threshold sensing (level, pressure, temperature, humidity, etc.) –Pair with a Banner sensor

Model Keys

Pricing

Werma WIN ■ Needs an extra segment in the tower light ■ No 2.4 GHz option ■ Less wireless network range –Max ideal range of 900 m with the use of repeaters ■ Requires PC or V AC gateway wired by Ethernet ■ Less rugged gateway (IP20) ■ System is more expensive –3 tower lights and gateway costs $3800 USD Patlite AirGRID ■ One way communication only ■ No 900 MHz option ■ Less wireless network range –Max ideal range of 900 m with the use of repeaters ■ Smaller network size limitation –Max 30 nodes ■ Less rugged gateway (IP20) ■ System is more expensive –3 tower lights and gateway costs $3200 USD Competitors

Demo Kit ■ DK-TL70 Wireless 2.4 GHz or 900 MHZ ■ $350 ■ Includes: –2 segment (red, green) TL70 with in-line rocker switch –Performance Gateway –Two 24 V dc power supplies –Literature, screwdriver –Carrying bag ■ 2.4 GHz Demo Kit (PN 95796) ■ 900 MHz Demo Kit (PN 95361)

Technical Literature in Demo Kit ■ Sell Sheet (PN ) ■ Set up Card (PN ) ■ Data Sheet (PN ) –10 pages –Configuration and assembly instructions –DIP switch settings –Modes of operations and Modbus registers

Tower Light Configurator Update coming soon

Why use a TL70 Wireless Tower Light ■ Combination of two existing Banner products and ability to leverage the benefits of each ■ Scalable all-in-one solution with two-way wireless communication and visual status indication ■ Enable status indication in locations where wired connections are costly, cumbersome, or not possible ■ Easy to customize and set up ■ Install new or retrofit existing installations ■ Flexible solution to solve a wide variety of problems
