Five Faves: Osborne, Honest Abe By: Joel Monter

Bobby Bowden Tom Osborne would definitely have Bobby Bowden in his phone cause he is also a man with great leadership as a coach.

Abe Lincoln I think Tom Osborne would love to have Honest Abe in his phone because he was able to keep a country together during one of it’s most stressful times and since Osborne was trying to have great unity within his teams.

Nancy Since Tom Osborne picked this woman as his wife I am sure he would always have him in his phone.

Bob Devaney The person that gives you your first job is always going to be a person you want in your phone especially if it turns you into a hall of fame coach. So Tom Osborne would for sure want Bobby Bowden.

Howard Schnellenberger Tom Osborne is known for his two point conversion attempt that failed. Miami’s head coach would be one I wouldn’t want if I was Tom Osborne as it would remind me of a lost national title.

President Nixon Tom Osborne wouldn’t want Nixon because Nixon was a person that tried to cheat in elections.

Stalin Osborne wouldn’t want Stalin because Stalin reigned by fear.

Joe Paterno Tom might not want JoPa to be in his fun as they were a national contender every year with Nebraska.

OU Tom Osborne’s rival in Oklahoma was great as it would usually decide which team went to the national title game.

CU Colorado always have hated Nebraska. So it is a big rivalry and is always the game the Buffs look forward too.

Gen. McClellan McClellan was a very popular General in the Union Army. Abe Lincoln would definitely want him.

Ulysses S. Grant Lieutenant General Grant would definitely be a person Abe would have because he was one of the more famous Generals.

George Washington George Washington was a great leader and Abe would love to have him in contact.

FDR FDR was also a president at a time when our country was in need the most. Abe would love how FDR handled the situation and made our country even stronger than before.

Teddy Roosevelt Teddy was always looking for ways to make the nation stronger. He did so by the Panama Canal and the Great White Fleet. This courage and bravery would impress Abe Lincoln.

Gen. Lee General Lee was a famous leader of the Confederate Army. Abe would disagree with this as he didn’t like slavery.

Stonewall Jackson Stonewall Jackson was pro slavery and fought for the Confederate States. Abe was his enemy so he would not want him.

Jefferson Davis Jefferson Davis was the president of the Confederate States. Abe would not like this because these two were at war with each other.

Adolf Hitler Adolf Hitler was a person that put forced work and death upon people he did not like. Abe would not like this because he thought that this type of racism and prejudice was wrong.

Stalin would also be on Abe’s list of people he wouldn’t like. Stalin had purges to get rid of people. He also put people in force labor camps.
