Objective Write proper and improper fractions as equivalent fractions or mixed number in lowest terms

Rule For all numbers a and b (b≠0 and c≠0)

Example 1 Write an equivalent fraction with a denominator of 12. a. 5/6b. -32/48

Vocabulary Lowest Terms: when a numerator and denominator have no common factor other than 1 Prime Number: A whole number great than one whose only factors are 1 and itself.
