Continents North America South America Europe Africa Antarctica Asia Australia

Time Zones Time Zone-Any one of the world's 24 divisions that has its own time. Why is it important for travel agents to explain time zones to clients that are traveling to different parts of the world? ▫Typically alters sleeping patterns. If a flight leaves from Montreal, Canada at 8:30 AM for Denver, CO which is two hours behind Montreal. If the air travel time is three hours, what time will the aircraft arrive in Denver?

International Date Line (IDL) International Date Line (IDL)- is an imaginary line on the surface of the Earth that runs from the north to the south pole and demarcates the change of one calendar day to the next.

Climate Conditions Climate Conditions-is a measure of the average pattern of variation in temperature, humi dity, atmospheric pressure, wind, precip itation, atmospheric particle count and other meteorological variables in a given region over long periods of time. Heat Rain Fall Snowfall Wind

Climate in Geographic Locations Mountainous regions-colder climates and snow for longer periods of time. Attract winter sport athletes, snow ski resorts and snowboard retailers. Hang-gliding lessons for tourist would want to select a destination that is known for wind.

Environmental Threats/Land Changes Water pollution Chemical runoff from rivers and mining debris from coastal ports affect the health of the Great Barrier Reef and the sea life of the Australian coastline. Beach erosion  Storms, ocean currents remove land and shift sand and rocks on the coastline. Improper waste Disposal New Orleans is below sea level increasing the risk of flooding.
