Basic Rules Team-2 teams of 6 players Winner-team who scores the most points Time-3-8 minute periods Start Game-with a center face-off Offense-spread out and pass or shoot the puck Defense-guard man to man Any player can stop the puck in mid-air with their hand (but cannot hold, pass, or throw) Goal keeper-can catch or throw the puck to the side Penalty-pushing, tripping, kicking, slashing, stick checking, body checking (lose possession) Out of bounds-awarded possession to the nearest player to the puck Boundaries-stand anywhere between the sidelines and the endline except attacking players cannot enter the crease around the goal (lose possession)
