Being a sharbati Wheat and Basmati rice growing state there is no separate provision for MSP GoI has to decide separate MSP so that farmers may get advantage of proper remunerative price In Tribal Districts of state minor millets such as kodo kutki and ragi are grown on 2.31 lakh ha. These crops are having medicinal value as well as high nutrient content but no MSP is declared In addition to MSP declared by GoI State Govt. made the separate provisions to provide additional assistance of Rs.150 in wheat, and Rs.150 in rice.

Challenging task - The procurement of gram In the year gram covered 34.8 lakh ha. and estimated production 47 lakh MT. due to favorable condition and best technology adoption In comparison to last year 36% more production is being estimated. Govt. of Madhya Pradesh has already requested to Govt. of India, Department of Agriculture and Cooperation wide latter no. 618 dated Govt. has already be award about following points. –To make arrangement 80,000 bales. –To make arrangement Rs crores for the procurement –To make arrangement 15 days advance to State Marketing Federation –To make arrangement for godown etc. If the timely above operation not made there will be a great problems in the procurement and discouragement to the gram growing cultivators
