Presentation transcript:

Based at Herefordshire Wildlife Trust Reconnect children with the natural world in a playful way. The target group has traditionally been children and families Reach approx 4000 children every year.

Challenging activities such as rope swings, woodwork, whittling and races are most popular They really help children to overcome fears, develop new skills and help to develop confidence and build self esteem.

GROUP ACTIVITIES BUILD NEW FRIENDSHIPS

These pictures were taken at a community consultation event at Mayhill Road Park in Ross on Wye. The park is run down with swings and equipment removed for safety reasons. Herefordshire Housing and WildPlay are both keen to develop the area so Pete and Jo met to discuss how they could work together to do this…. In the same meeting Villa Street was mentioned due to an adjacent Nature Reserve.
