All 5 modules are aligned with an accuracy by ≤1.5 mm in all directions and afterwards welds or bolts with each other. Module with cross beam
Final assembly of Stellarator W7-X Max-Planck- Institut für Plasmaphysik Unternehmung WENDELSTEIN 7-X Karsten Liesenberg / AS-TVisit NCSX engineers 11/12 October Adjustment test in mountingstand IV (in 2007) An adjustment test for 1 module was accomplished successfully with a 100 t dummy load (accuracy ≤1.5 mm). A further adjustment test takes place in November For a final adjustment of the module we want to test a movement in all directions with radius of 5 mm with help of the sliding bearings and hydraulic cylinders in the temporary supports and the cryofeets.
