What is an historical enquiry? How do I carry out an historical enquiry?

What is an historical enquiry? This is the skill whereby you need to carry out an investigation into an event, change or an historical figure. This means you will need to carry out research, use sources and ask and answer specific questions. You will act like a historical detective finding out information on a topic you knew little about or even extending the knowledge you already have. At the end of your enquiry you will have added so much to your knowledge that you will be able to answer any questions with confidence.
