F - Find where services are needed most in your community. Utilize resources: Complete a community needs assessment survey to determine areas of service needed. Join other community service organizations on a community service project. Use the District and International Website for possible service ideas. Check local periodicals for potential service projects. Contact school districts for potential service projects. Contact the local Chamber of Commerce. Service Ideas

O - Organization Get your committees organized Document your project from start to completion to assist your club in award submission. Fundraiser Ideas Apply for International Foundation Grant Complete Service Project Budget Find local businesses who have donation policies.

C - Calendar What is your time frame for the service project? Make a Difference Day Send intent and completed report to Altrusa International by the dates required.

F O C U S These three awards must be submitted to your District Award Coordinators by June 1 st of each year. First Place winners awarded at District Conferences are forwarded to Altrusa International Inc. to be judged. The winners are announced at the International Convention. District and International first place winners receive a monetary award.
