Claudia Casanova for NHS President
Biography GPA: I am currently involved in numerous school organizations including beta club, key club, orchestra, robotics, Mu Alpha Theta, and tennis. I received the award for 50 hours of community service last year along with the scholar athlete award and the coach’s award for tennis.
Why me? Being an athlete, I have developed a strong work ethic, time management skills, and leadership. I believe the NHS president should show these qualities. I am responsible, communicate well, and have many new service ideas for the school year.
Goals This past year, I noticed that many people struggled to meet the hours requirement. To fix this, I would like NHS to begin hosting monthly food, clothing, and book drives to provide more service opportunities. In my time at Kell, I have also noticed that SGA hosts many of the school’s community service projects. Because of this, many people are not aware of NHS. To change this, I want to challenge this club to create new and innovative ways to serve our community. This will inspire more upcoming juniors and seniors to join NHS in the future.
