What’s New in BPT 10.0? 217 December 2015 Feature parity with QC 10.0 Customization Workflow Auditing Analysis and reports BPT 10.0 enterprise capabilities Versioning Baselining Asset sharing Additional BPT 10.0 Features Ability to convert manual tests into manual components and produce instantly reusable test assets Dynamic dates and parameter promotion
317 December 2015 BPT 10.0: feature parity with QC FeatureDescription CustomizationUser-defined fields for business components WorkflowEnable manipulations of specific events, changing fields and values AuditingAuditing capabilities (history) for business components Analysis & reports Reporting and graphing capabilities NOTE: will be released in a BPT 10.0 patch Additional featuresAdvanced filtering; mailing options
417 December 2015 Enhanced BPT component model New, optional “flow” layer gives additional flexibility when modeling the business process Simple branching capabilities, called “run conditions”, allow you to define the conditions when a component will run 417 December December 2015 Test Flow Component Keyword HP Confidential & Subject to Change without Notice
Enhanced BPT component model HP Confidential & Subject to Change without Notice Feature: Allows users to organize business components into flows which represent specific paths through the business applications. Flows can then be dragged and dropped to create higher-level, end-to- end tests. Branching allows you do define conditions under which a component will run. Benefit: All testable entities are modeled at the right level and test libraries can be used across business processes and application implementation projects. Branching allows you to cover multiple business process variations in a single test.
Enhanced BPT component model A test can contain flows and components in any order Component with a run condition
717 December 2015 Feature: Business components and flows support user-defined fields and scripted workflows in the same way as other Quality Center entities (tests, requirements, defects). Benefit: Customers can customize BPT to fit their work processes, thus enforcing predictability and repeatability in the quality process. With HP Quality Center as the underlying platform, work processes can scale from a single QA team all the way to a quality Center of Excellence. Customization and Work Flow

1017 December 2015 BPT 10.0: enterprise capabilities FeatureDescription VersioningManage multiple versions of components and tests BaseliningCapture a group of components and tests as a baseline Asset sharingShare business components and tests between projects QC 10.0 enterprise capabilities (including QC Premier edition) will cover business components
1117 December 2015 Feature: Version control is enabled for components and flows. A component can be checked out for update, then checked back in when changes are complete. A baseline can be saved as a snapshot of the test library at a given point in time. Benefit: Allows distributed teams to collaborate on joint development of tests without over-riding each other’s changes. Allows QA project managers to track test creation milestones and increase the predictability of release timelines. Version Control and Baselining
Versioning Providing version control capabilitiesfor business components 1217 December 2015
Baselining Creating a library containing requirements, tests, components and resources Creating a baseline for a library Comparing baselines 1317 December 2015
1417 December 2015 Feature: Business components and flows can be created in one project, then reused across test projects and/or releases. Benefit: Global teams can create reusable component libraries that represent the business application across multiple projects and releases, increasing the ROI of test library creation. The number of hours spent creating tests is significantly reduced because changes in components and flows can be instantly synced across all projects. Collaboration and Reuse

Migrating manual tests to BPT Convert manual tests to manual components 1717 December 2015 Feature: Convert manual tests into manual components and instantly reusable test assets. Benefit: Customers with a large amounts of legacy, non-componentized manual tests can easily move to HP BPT while preserving their existing investment. The conversion process produces instantly reusable test assets with all the benefits of the BPT model, including sharing of components between testing projects.
