2 Cardio - June 2007 RID Abstract / Scope Simple and rapid access to patient information stored in other enterprise systems from within a healthcare workstation application Access to existing persistent documents in well-known presentation formats: CDA, PDF, JPEG. Access to specific key patient-centric information for presentation to a clinician : allergies, current medications, summary of reports, etc.. Links with other IHE profiles - Enterprise User Authentication, Patient Identifier Cross-referencing and Cross Enterprise Document Sharing from IHE IT Infrastructure Domain

7 Cardio - June 2007 ECG Document ECG Information Source required to support PDF so it is compatible with existing RID clients. ECG Information Source required to use vector graphics for waveforms in PDF.  Gives high quality line drawings at any screen resolution and zoom factor.  Rasterized (e.g. scanned, bitmapped) ECG “images” not allowed. Option for SVG
