Class 5—Tour of Great Buildings The title of this class sounds like a trip to see the empty cathedrals of Europe. Nothing could be further from the truth. We want to see the full buildings of great and active churches. This session will include online tours of three to five great buildings of one architectural house. What are the design and functional elements that worked well? What are the leading edge churches doing with their buildings—big box, mini worship spaces, office styles, youth facilities, classroom space, worship space? We want to see the challenges in designing and building the facility as well. What had to change from the concept to the engineering to the building phases?
