ShowMe (pros) Easy to use Turns an iPad into an interactive whiteboard. Share your lesson or presentation. Students can review the presentations any time any where. Keep recording, and drawing. Draw with your fingers! Voice-over any time. Three ways to add photos: from your album, take photo or search images on the web with your iPad. Can have multiple layers of photos with options of “Rotate”, “Move to front”, “Send to back”. Very good for visual learners. No limitation and absolutely no charge!

Nearpod (Cons) Better for delivery of content and check student understanding Can not control if students want to drop from the presentation. Student cannot view the presentation at their own pace except for self-paced quizzes. Not all content tools are free.

Socrative (Pros) Allows you to engage students with exercises and games (and check understanding) Can create multiple choice questions or a short answer questions Can select “student paced” or “teacher paced” or “space race” for students to compete in the quizzes. Students only need to download the app and have the teacher “My room number” to join in.
