Access Programme Mature Students Access Course Claire Commins Date: January 2010

The Aims of the Access Programme equip students with the skills they will need to participate in a third level course. build up confidence in students' academic abilities. assist students with any special requirements they may have such as literacy skills. provide support mechanisms, once students enter a third level degree programme. Access Programme

The Access Programme 1 year part-time evening course (approximately 26 weeks). Classes are held on two / three evenings per week and one Saturday per month. Access Programme

Entry Requirements Applicants who are over 22 years on January 1st of year of entry. Applicant who, for financial, or related reasons were unable to proceed to Higher Education in the past. There are no specific entry requirements, such as Leaving Certificate or Aptitude tests. Access Programme
