WWI The Great War in Europe was fought on two fronts, Western and Eastern Western Front Germany advanced through Belgium in order to attack France British and French forces stopped the German advancement Stalemate

WWI Eastern Front Russians attacked Germany, but were defeated Far inferior technology, a lot of soldiers Battles in the Balkans Bulgaria joins Central Powers Romania and Italy join Allied Powers

WWI Other areas at War Colonies at War Japan attacks China and the Pacific Ottoman’s join the Central Powers and defeat the allied powers in Dardanelles Attack Russia and Armenians Armenian Genocide Colonies at War European colonies in Africa and Asia also help fight

WWI New type of War Technology made WWI a war like no other Weapons Trench Warfare Soldiers lived and fought in their trenches Weapons Tanks, machine guns, airplanes, u-boats, poison gas All first introduced during WWI All led to massive death tolls and destruction

Assignment WWI was nothing like what the soldiers expected, new styles of fighting and weapons created things that soldiers had never seen before.
