¡Bienvenidos a la clase de español!

Español 3 A class for intermediate speakers Honors credit Must stay organized! More reading: stories, articles, etc. More writing: projects, power point presentations, etc. Lots of verbal interaction at the intermediate level Lots more vocabulary!!! You must be in class all the time! Don’t ask to get out of class for ANY reason!

Español 2 A class for novice high speakers Students are expected to reach the intermediate level Must bring materials daily Practice, practice, practice!!! Must participate in all oral work! Must keep an organized notebook! Oral testing every six weeks and at end of each semester! Vocabulary must be memorized and into long-term memory. Students must be in class every day!!!

School Supplies for Spanish 1. NOTEBOOK: You will need a zipper binder with three rings and a ziploc or zipper pouch inside for your pens,etc. The notebook should contain a package of notebook paper, some dividers, and a small spiral. 2.Bring me two pens, two pencils and a package of 100 index cards, either 3x5 or 4x6, colored or white. 3.Spanish 2 only: one set of 10 colored markers, or one box of tissues. 4.Spanish 3 only: One box of kleenex, or one glue stick.

Low Novice High Novice Mid Novice low 165 hours In Spanish 2, you are expected to become an intermediate speaker! In Spanish 3, you should already be an intermediate speaker, and should expect to make progress to the Intermediate-Mid level by the end of the year.

Intermediate Proficiency What can an intermediate do? Create with the language. You must have enough language in your database (brain) to create with! Ask and answer questions. Get through simple survival situations. Speak in sentences instead of words.
