Obsessive Compulsive Disorder Symptoms & Treatments: Symptoms: Being OCD, fear of germs, or the need to arrange objects in a specific manner. Treatments: various prescriptions, different types of therapy, clinical psychologist(they help with psychological disorders), Psychiatrist(help with mental disorders), etc. What is it? Excessive thoughts (obsessions) that lead to repetitive behaviors (compulsions).

Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (continued) Knowing that you have OCD might be pretty scary, but not as scary as not knowing of any facilities around you that could help you treat it. Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder ❖ Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder is a mental health condition triggered by a terrifying event; either experiencing it or witnessing it. ❖ Accurs most in adults who have experienced horrible, or shocking events. PTSD symptoms are generally grouped into four types: ●Intrusive Memories- Upsetting dreams about the traumatic event, recurrent, unwanted distressing memories, etc. ●Avoidance- Trying to avoid thinking or talking about the traumatic event, avoid places, activities or people that remind you of the traumatic event. ●Negative Changes in Thinking & Mood- Negative feelings about yourself or other people, feeling emotionally numb, etc. ●Changes in Emotional Reactions- Trouble sleeping, trouble concentrating, overwhelming guilt or shame, etc. The Primary treatment for PTSD is psychotherapy, but often includes medication like antidepressants, anti- anxiety medications, & prazosin.
