Критерій А. Змістовне наповнення ( опрацювання умов, зазначених у ситуації ) Dictogloss is a classroom dictation activity where learners are required to reconstruct a short text by listening and noting down key words, which are then used as a base for reconstruction.

КРИТЕРІЙ В. Структура тексту та зв ’ язність В 1. Логіка викладу та зв ’ язність тексту ( наявність з ’ єднувальних елементів у тексті ): “Snowball”: the first student makes a sentence, the next one add to it one more sentence connecting it with linking word, the third one adds to the previous and so on. F.e., Last night we went to the cinema- last night we went to the cinema and watched an interesting film- We watched the interesting film, which was enjoyed by everybody- The film was enjoyed by everybody because it was an adventure film.

Fill in the blanks with appropriate linking words. Each question is followed by three suggested answers. Choose the most appropriate one. 1. She was ……………………………… unable to attend the meeting. a) In particular b) Therefore c) As well as 2. ……………………………, we are satisfied with your performance. a) For example b) In general c) Incidentally

КРИТЕРІЙ В. Критерій В2. Відповідність письмового висловлювання заданому формату:  Read the following sentences and put an F for formal and an I for informal language. Then say which sentence can start or end the letter (1. I look forward to receiving any information which might be of help; 2. Well, that’s all my news for now. Write back soon; 3. Once again, thanks for all your help)

Match the beginning with the ending: BeginningsEndings 1. I am writing to complain about the items which I ordered from your catalogue last month A. I hope you will consider my application and I look forward to hearing from you 2. I’m writing to ask for your advice on a small problem I’ve got. B. Thank you in advance for your help, and I look forward to hearing from you. 3. I was pleased to get your letter, and I’ll tell you what I think you should do. C. I’m really anxious to hear your suggestion. Write me soon. 4. I am writing to apply for the post of junior manager. D. I hope that the matter will be resolved quickly, and that my money will be promptly refunded. 5. I regret to inform you that you have not been accepted for the course. E. Please, do not hesitate to contact us again should you wish to reapply in the future.

КРИТЕРІЙ С. Використання лексики ( лексична наповнюваність ; володіння лексичним матеріалом ) Madlibs Madlibs is a fun activity you can use to extend learners’ vocabulary and also heighten their awareness of parts of speech and syntax. First elicit lists of different types of parts of speech such as nouns, adjectives, verbs and adverbs. Take some words out of a short text and number and categorise the gaps in the text, for example 1 = noun, 2 = adjective, 3 = verb, etc. or you may need to be more specific and say what kind of noun or adjective is missing, for example 4 = body part (plural), 5 = colour.

Making synonyms/antonyms page Encourage your learners to keep a synonyms/antonyms page in their notebooks and to add to it regularly. For example, adjectives of personality could be recorded as opposites to help learners remember the meaning: generous - mean sociable - shy talkative - quiet hardworking - lazy
